Wonderful example of the best of 1980s jewelry! Brooch in night-black nearly 1/8" thick celluloid is a "look at me" 3-5/8" across. This lady reminds me of the Red Hat Society, but with that classic Art Deco geometry and crispness. She almost recalls the 1940s in her style.
Lines are etched deeply into the resin and have a real graphic quality, filled with metallic gold color. The stylish lady's earrings are sparkly clear rhinestones, and her hat band is trimmed with more rhinestones as well as tiny pearly studs (one of the tiny studs is gone, but could be restored using silver nail polish on a toothpick...that's what I would do. In the meantime, it's barely noticeable.)
Piece is unmarked, has some typical vintage wear. Has pinback for use on coats, scarves, sweaters...you name it.
